Nutrient Management
Virtually all aquatic systems experience problems related to nutrient loading. Whether its algae blooms, odours, excessive weed growth or fish kills - excess nutrients create real management problems. Fortunately, floating treatment wetlands offer a proven, natural approach to management of nutrients in aquatic systems. By competing with undesirable species such as algae for nutrients and sunlight, floating treatment wetlands can help alleviate many of the common symptoms of nutrient overloading. Applications for nutrient management in aquatic systems range from recreational lakes and ponds to industrial wastewater lagoons.
